Lot 531 in our upcoming auction of antiques and collectables is an oil on board by John Fitzgerald, one of Ireland’s leading contemporary equine artists.

Titled “After The Race, Gowran Park’ this impressive piece is offered for auction on April 7th with all proceeds being donated to Hospice Africa Uganda, a charity providing palliative care to the critically ill in Uganda.

Not only is the subject a very fitting theme to be offered for sale at the Goresbridge Sales Complex but the charity also has close ties to the sales company, with auctioneer Martin Donohoe’s sister, Miriam, currently volunteering in Kampala for the Hospice.
