Just a few weeks into the 2024 season our Go For Gold graduates have been racking up wins and placings on both sides of the Atlantic.
With both the Badminton and Kentucky five star showcases on the horizon, it was rewarding to see that two Go Go Gold graduates Grantstown Jackson (Sarah Ennis) and RCA Patron Saint (Lucy Latta) are among the six Irish entries in the former, while representing us in Kentucky are the impressive Cooley Nutcracker (Liz Halliday) and recent Ocala winners Rock Phantom (Sara Kozumplik).
Kilcannon Mischief-’20 Graduate
In the UK, the events have been beset by cancellations but featuring strongly among the early winners, special congratulations are due to Britain’s Tom McEwen, who remains unbeaten from his two outings with the exciting – and now upgraded Kilcannon Mischief.
Rehy Revelation- ’17 Graduate Rehy Revelation (Jack Pinkney) also landed a win at Poplar Park before heading to Kroneburg in the Netherlands (CCI4*-L) where he completed just outside the top ten. At the same venue, New Zealander James Avery (MBF Connection) and Grantstown Jackson (Sarah Ennis) also featured well in the CCI4*S, while across the water in America, Cooley Nutcracker and Elizabeth Halliday landed a smart 5th place in the CCI4*-S at Carolina.
Not forgetting the Ryan Page ridden show jumpers MBF Huntstown Cornet, Curraghraigue Q Hill and BP Ko Jax who have been on extraordinary form this winter, all winning multiple classes up to 1.40 level.
