Your step-by-step guide to purchasing a horse at Goresbridge Horse Sales
Prior To Sale

The catalogue will be available online to view approx. 1 week prior to sale day.
The online gallery with photos & videos will be available to view from the Thursday before the sale.
If you have additional questions/information you would like to know about a particular lot, we can enquire on your behalf.
We recommend touching base with a transporter in advance of sale. There are 4 transport companies we work closely with or you are welcome to use an external company
Hoping to visit on the day- complete a buyer registration form
Hope to bid online remotely- complete an online buyer registration
Day of Sale
- If you are attending in person, pop into the office to pick up a catalogue and obtain a bidding number
- We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have
- Veterinary certs will be available to view at the office. All horses must accompany a vet cert within 14days of sale by our panel.
- Purchasers are welcome to stroll around the stables to view horses, speak to the vendors and may have a short trial ride at the vendors discretion in our outdoor arenas
- The performance ring & sales ring run in strict numerical order
- If you are a successful bidder, you must sign the purchase docket at the rostrum. You then have a 30min window to request a re-vetting at the office. Re-vetting: €150 | Bloods: €100 ; To be paid directly to the vet on duty.
- You must then appoint a transporter and arrange for the horse to be removed on the day or transport it yourself.
- The horse must be paid for on the day, then the horse will be released.
