For local buyers and those travelling from within the island of Ireland, Goresbridge Horse Sales is designed for a transparent and straightforward purchasing experience.
● Pre-Sale Viewing: Catalogues are published online prior to the sale. We highly recommend utilising our online gallery to view performance videos of the lots before you arrive.Videos and Photos are submitted by vendors.
● On-Site Facilities: Arrive early to walk the stables, inspect the horses, speak directly with the vendors, and watch the horses perform live in our arenas.
● Veterinary Assurance: All horses sold undergo a veterinary inspection. A 5-stage veterinary certificate, issued by our approved panel within 14 days of the sale, is provided. Buyers also have a 30-minute window after the hammer falls to request an on-site re-vetting or blood test (for a fee) for peace of mind.
● Payment: We accept Card, Euro, Sterling.
● Transport: Top national equine transport companies are on-site to arrange immediate, safe transit for your new horse directly to your yard.

● Accommodation: Convenient local staying options range from boutique hotels and B&Bs in nearby Borris and Leighlinbridge (within 10 minutes) to full-service 4-star and 5-star hotels in Kilkenny City, located just a 15-minute drive from the sales complex. Early booking during sale week is strongly advised.

● Live Streaming: The sale, including the performance ring and the auction ring, is broadcast live online.
● Online Bidding: Register for our secure online bidding portal. Note: International buyers must register at least 24 hours in advance to allow for credit card authorisation.
International Transport: Approved international equine shippers (specialising in UK, European, Trans-Atlantic flights to the USA and further a field) are stationed on-site. They will seamlessly coordinate your horse’s export documentation, stabling, and transit.
● VAT on Export: 0% VAT rate applies to purchasers exporting outside of the EU, provided valid proof of export is supplied to the sales office. Once proof of export is received, a VAT return will be processed for you
